May 04, 2010 · I really thought about trying this brass in my .308's but after hearing of possible ignition problems in cold weather and mainly due to the fact that I'd now have two different kinds of .308 brass to keep seperated for two different .308's I decided the K.I.S.S. principal would be the better way to go for me so I'm sticking with Lapua large primer .308 brass.

As I've mentioned numerous times I'm not new to reloading just new to reloading for 308 semi-auto. Over the years the only primers I've used for 308 bolt gun, 6.5 swede, 45-70, 30-06 bolt gun, 30-30,and 7mm-08 are either CCI-200, CCI-250 or WLR. Ive been using them so far in my brief career in loading for an AR-10. My 308 will show ejector marks on pretty much any ammo (factory or reloads) and I even have an adjustable gas block. I did my work ups and only time I was getting blown primers was when I used varget. I only use 4064 now (only cause it preforms better for my rifle, but varget is my backup powder).
