Claw mounts were a draw from the civilian world. The last method (sorta) was the Turret mount (high and low). They sit on the top of the receiver also but the scope "twists" on to the front base then locks into the rear. What scope for a German 1 inch claw mount? I like the German #1 or #4 reticles in the first plane. I don't think I'll be able to be too choosy because most are 30 MM.
